This article addresses the social rights that Mexican legislation grants to foreigners in the country and presents the results of a hybrid research (documentary and field) that includes surveys conducted on foreign migrants in irregular migratory situations. The findings of these surveys show the expectations that these migrants have regarding the benefits derived from human rights to health, education, work, social security, and housing in Mexico and that they be the foundation for the construction of their social rights.
