Aprendrizaje basado en problemas y sus aplicaciones en ingeniería

El aprendizaje basado en problemas (ABP) puede considerarse como una estrategia didáctica que permite dinamizar y optimizar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje en el aula y fortalecer el vínculo entre el sector educativo y la iniciativa privada (empresas), es decir, relacionar a sus actores principales: institución educativa, empresa, docente, discente, autoridades y sociedad, en beneficio de los mismos. El documento presenta un análisis sistémico detallado y vigente del estado del arte del ABP, principalmente en el área de ingeniería, la revisión de diversas fuentes de información y la síntesis a modo de resultado, en la cual se expresa el estado actual de la técnica y sus áreas de oportunidad para la mejora continua. Los resultados sugieren que el ABP se ha aplicado de manera satisfactoria en diversas áreas del conocimiento y que es factible su extrapolación en otros ámbitos, como los multidisciplinarios.
