Problem-based learning and its applications in engineering
Keywords:
analysis, problem-based learning, engineering, systemic analysisAbstract
Problem-based learning (PBL) can be considered as a didactic strategy that allows to dynamize and optimize the teaching-learning process in the classroom and to strengthen the link between the educational sector and the private sector (companies), that is, to relate its main actors: educational institution, company, teacher, student, authorities and society, for the benefit of all of them. The document presents a detailed and current systemic analysis of the state of the art of PBA, mainly in the engineering area, the review of various sources of information and the synthesis as a result, which expresses the current state of the art and its areas of opportunity for continuous improvement. The results suggest that PBA has been satisfactorily applied in several areas of knowledge and that its extrapolation to other fields, such as multidisciplinary ones, is feasible.
