Abstract

In this work the importance of carrying out a time and motion study in any workplace is made known, such as industry, companies, laboratories of research centers, among others. The purpose of this study is to present strategies that make more effective any process or activity that is necessary for the generation of any product or the results of a research, and that these are as concrete as possible. There are many factors that time and motion studies facilitate, such as an order so that the greatest knowledge of various areas is obtained and the expected result, even improved. The article gives an exposition of the background of these studies, and also explains the requirements for this study to be applied correctly, as well as its relationship with productivity.
