Abstract

The work is based on an innovative hypothesis about the origin and foundation of fundamental rights and freedoms from the tradition in politics. For this, the author leads us through the scientific method and the study of various theories from sociology, history, anthropology and philosophy to clarify that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is not as a progressive document as has been made known, but rather a little innovative legal instrument that embodies rights recognized since the Late Middle Ages.
