Abstract

The invisibilization of women begins with the symbolic violence exercised against them by the patriarchal pact that excludes them from power. A democratic system based on the assumptions of freedom and equality must include women in the process of electing their representatives, providing all participants with the same conditions of equality in political participation. This paper postulates that feminism is the form of struggle and resistance that women have developed in the face of the androcentrism of the political system. The objective is to show how women have been transformed into social agents, constituting themselves as a social movement that fights for the historical field. Qualitative research was conducted with popular women representatives who have recently won an election in the state of Morelos.
