Trees are part of our daily life. Since ancient times, native species have been an important resource for Mexicans; exotic species are also taken advantage of. Despite their importance, there is little accuracy in specialized works, such as Mexican regional flora, scientific articles or books. The present study has the objective of registering 350 species, distributed in 72 families, as well as mentioning their place of origin; Asia is the largest contributor of exotic flora, followed by America, Europe, Oceania and Africa. This work represents a starting point to raise awareness of the existence of exotic flora in the country and this way generate effective management and utilization strategies.
