The main interest of this work is to study the way in which intertextuality and intermediality are used, and the way in which both intervene in the configuration of the rhythm and fluidity of the prose poem, while following a primordial tradition of this form of poetic writing in paragraph, as is the case of the plastic aspect in a postmodern environment. For this purpose, a type of reading of the book Imperio (2009), by the Mexican poet Rocío Cerón, is proposed. Therefore, the method aims to highlight intermediate and paratextual aspects of the mentioned work of Cerón, with the objective of providing continuity to this form of poetic writing in paragraph.
