Mexico, electoral change and Agenda 2030

The electoral scenario places Mexico in the possibility of redefining the goals of the 2030 Agenda outside the neoliberal logic. This article proposes the construction of alliances from a liberal democratic perspective, capable of implementing public policies for sustainable development, with equality and without discrimination. This challenge involves reversing the mercantilist premises of criticizing and discrediting the State, dismantling and privatizing the public sector, exalting individualism and merit, and advocating inequality, in order to place people and environmental sustainability at the heart of development. The objective of the policy is human welfare and dignity, in an ethical relationship between technology and nature, based on the repositioning of human rights in a promotional model of social goals, values and interests, a resource to guarantee the reduction of inequality gaps and to progress in social justice and inclusion.
