Abstract

The women who were part of the Bauhaus were relegated to disciplines such as textiles, ceramics and decoration, limiting their access to architecture and other areas traditionally dominated by men. This study explores the perception of third-semester architecture students about the presence and the recognition of Bauhaus women in their academic training. Through a qualitative analysis, it examines the gender hierarchies that operated in the history of architecture, relationships between gender, care roles, childhoods, design and decoration, and reflects on whether these limitations still influence the current teaching of architecture.
