Epistemologies of hope: feminism and utopia in blochian terms

This article offers a critical epistemological reflection on feminist utopian thought in dialogue with the philosophy of Ernst Bloch, particularly through the concepts of anticipatory consciousness and daydream as driving forces of social transformation. It argues that both feminism and Blochian utopia share a hopeful vision of the future not as an escape, but as a concrete possibility for renewal. From a situated epistemology, feminism embodies this utopian horizon through real struggles and tangible achievements. Therefore, utopia is conceived not as an abstract ideal, but as a political guide that redefines the present through hope and social transformation.
