Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is currently a global public health challenge, not only because of the significant burden it places on healthcare systems but also because it affects the quality of life of millions of people worldwide. The relationship between nutrition and CKD has become a central topic of research, as diet plays a crucial role in the prevention and treatment of patients with CKD. Some studies have shown that dietary patterns emphasizing healthy foods are the gold standard for increasing life expectancy and reducing the risks of CKD mortality. Here are some dietary patterns that may slow the progression of CKD.
