Electoral performance of political parties in Morelos

The article shows the data on the electoral performance of some of the most important political parties in the politics in the state of Morelos, between 1988 and 2024. It’s made an exposition of the different party systems based on Giovanni Sartori's theory. With these categories of analysis, a periodization of the electoral history of Morelos is built by collecting official data, both on the votes for the Executive Branch and for the State Legislature. It is concluded that Morelos went from having a hegemonic party system to one of limited pluralism and currently gives indications of building a predominant party system.
